Our client is a not for profit organisation that engages with the broader community through various initiatives.

Job Description

Audit and Compliance
1. Prepare and review audited financial statements in accordance with applicable Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), including FRS 116.
2. Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
3. Oversee the annual audit process, ensuring all required documentation is ready for the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
4. Ensure adherence to financial and accounting regulations, standards, and internal controls.

Disbursements and Bookkeeping
1. Work with outsourced accounting firm to manage internal bookkeeping, accounts, and disbursements, including payment of invoices and staff claims.
2. Prepare annual budget reports for the Treasurer and ministry heads.
3. Supervise reimbursements, invoice payments, and the preparation of expense reports.
4. Assist the Finance Director in preparing materials for Finance Committee meetings and presentations.
5. Perform monthly revenue reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
6. Review and oversee the monthly account closing process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
7. Manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS and CAS) and the governance framework.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 5 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or financial reporting.
  • FRS116 is a must as the candidate would need to review audited financial statements in accordance to FRS116.
  • CPA or ACCA is a plus.
